Present-day realities foster people of different backgrounds and professions to use a number of information resources to keep up with the fast pace of life. Electronic means of info search have rapidly replaced printed ones.
Just a couple of years ago people purchased dictionaries and encyclopedias in big numbers. Today such “a hobby” seems at least wasteful. Indeed, who’s going to pay large amounts of money for a reference book which will sooner or later be out of date? Especially when you can find all the encyclopedic information you need online, without paying a penny.
Electronic dictionaries and encyclopedias have invaded the global market so rapidly and unexpectedly in comparison with the printed word, that a reasonable question arises: what benefits do they bring? Thus the objective of this report is to reveal the advantages of using electronic dictionaries and encyclopedias in everyday life.
