Abstract
Democracy has become a trend in the world, spreading around the globe as a disease. The principle of the democracy became a universal value that all modern states are oblige to embrace. If in 19-20th century theorists would discuss whether one country or another was "fit for democracy”, nowadays the question changed to why this or that country “needs democracy”. This regime is viewed as a cure for all state diseases, being a disease itself. Only liberty, fair elections and freedom of democracy can save the world. However, we can see that a large one-party state is going up to the economic and cultural prosperity. The researcher is going to analyze and compare such non-democratic country as China with the rest democratic world and show that democracy is not the sole solution even for 21st century.
