There are many problems which threaten our natural environment.
Environmental pollution is an area which is of direct concern to all of us, from the chemical waste poured out by factories to the rubbish we throw away every day.
There are many problems which threaten our natural environment.
Environmental pollution is an area which is of direct concern to all of us, from the chemical waste poured out by factories to the rubbish we throw away every day.
We should limit the usage of aerosol sprays and fridges, the chemicals which cause the problem of destruction of the ozone layer. Because overexposure of UV rays can increase the risk of skin cancer, weaken the immune system, and damage the retina.
Gases pollute and they have two harmful effects. In the first place, some of the gases are caught by rain clouds and fall as acid rain, mist or snow, which cause great damage to the plant and animal life in parks and zoos. Secondly, increasing amounts of carbon dioxide forms a cover over the Earth, keeping the heat of the sun close to the Earth's surface just as a greenhouse keeps heat in. The so-called greenhouse effect (global warming) appears.
Cutting down exhaust fumes from vehicles would help solve the problem. Deforestation is endangering ecosystems, and could cause at least one forth of all species on the Earth to vanish in the next 25 years. Burning these forests releases carbon dioxide and decreases oxygen in the atmosphere, causing the global warming.
Protecting all forests is the key to our survival on this planet.
In recent years, environmentalists have become increasingly concerned about the number of animals facing extinction. Unless we do something to save them now, we may soon lose many rare species forever.
Industrial waste is polluting our seas. Waste is still being dumped into many rivers. Water pollution results in stomach illness. Fish are dying. We should limit use of chemicals in industry, fine factories which pollute seas and rivers.
And Dropping litter (rubbish) can result in dirty streets and spread of diseases.
Our towns, rivers and seas are becoming more and more polluted with household waste. This could easily be prevented if people took the time to sort, save and recycle their rubbish.
How to Cope with the Problems?
Man has been polluting the environment in various damaging ways for the past 150 years. In trying to cope with the problems which the Earth faces, we must also look at the causes and re-evaluate our way of living, turning to natural, environmental ways of producing energy, and living our lives closer to nature.
We should encourage recycling because it is the production of new materials which causes the most damage. We must learn to reuse things like plastic bags and glass jars.
Krasnodar Krai is a recognized leader among Russian resorts. There are many lovely resorts, guest houses, hotels, here are sounding from underground springs, and the air is filled with aromas of the sea and evergreens. It is logical to assume that the environment of the Krasnodar region should be one of the best in the country. Although studies and test measurements opened not quite a good picture.
As in other Russian regions, environment of the Krasnodar region significantly deteriorates through the fault of industrial enterprises, leaders who do not bother to install modern efficient treatment facilities. In Krasnodar region there are many machine-building, Metalworking, chemical plants, but most of all, the region is famous for oil production. Pollution of the environment with petroleum products and their waste takes a devastating scale.
Many businesses and community organizations dumped into water bodies tons of raw sewage, causing much worse the ecology of natural resources of Krasnodar Krai.
To improve the current situation in many cities has stationary control posts, checks air, soil and water for the presence of harmful substances. Also there is strict monitoring of background radiation, which is still in the normal range.
this paper describes the human impact on the environment. examples of global problems are given (warming, greenhouse effect, destruction of the ozone layer, loss of animal species, pollution of reservoirs)
