Transport is an essential component of the economic infrastructure of Russia. Its functioning is becoming a prerequisite for the transportation of passengers and goods, stabilizing the economy, improving the living standards of the population, and ensuring defense and security.
The transport system includes the following types of transportation: train, air, water (sea and inland waterway), motor, electric city and road sector.
