Currently, the issue of climate change is one of the most important and discussed around the world. Now fewer and fewer people are thinking about the future of the planet and about future generations. The effects of climate change are becoming increasingly visible around the world, and few people still doubt that this is the work of man. Environmentalists talk about global climate change, including an increase in the average annual temperature, causing the melting of glaciers, and rising sea levels. In addition to warming, there is also an imbalance of all natural systems, which leads to a change in the precipitation regime, temperature anomalies and an increase in the frequency of extreme events.
Climate change is no longer just a matter of melting ice and starving polar bears in the Arctic. Today we are seeing droughts, overheating, wildfires, landslides, extreme rain and flooding, all of which can be linked to climate change. Snowmelt in high mountains, resulting in torrents in late autumn rather than spring – is a specific example from Norway last year. Some fish species previously found only in temperate areas, which are now also found in the Barents Sea, are another example from the Northern Sphere. In addition, due to the serious climate changes that have occurred in recent years, some countries suffer from abnormal heat, others from too harsh and snowy winters, unusual for these places. The most acutely felt objects of anthropogenic impact on the natural environment are the atmosphere, hydrosphere and soil, and each of these environments is undergoes significant degradation. But when it comes to climate change, of course, we have to take into account the factors that are the main causes of climate change.
Most scientists associate the increase in the global temperature of the Earth's troposphere with the transformation of the composition of atmospheric air caused by human activity. The greenhouse effect theory is based on the warming effect of gases dispersed in the troposphere, such as carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, ozone, and chlorofluorocarbons. The increase in the concentration of major greenhouse gases is due to an intensive increase in their emissions into the troposphere as a result of the burning of organic and hydrocarbon fuels. The essence of the greenhouse effect is the absorption of these gases of long-wave (infrared) radiation coming from the Earth, and thereby increasing the temperature in the troposphere while cooling the stratosphere.
