Engels Technological Institute of Saratov State Technical University was established in 1956.
It's known to be the largest branch of the University.
The head of the institute is Director.
There are 3 faculties at the institute: mechanical-machine- building, technological and correspondence.
Each faculty is headed by Dean.
Both full-time and correspondence students have an opportunity to study at the institute.
There are 16 Chairs at the institute, as a result there are 16 Heads of Chairs.
Besides, each faculty has its own Council, which consists of Dean, Heads of Chairs and some professors.
The Council deals with such issues as tuition, scientific work and everyday life of students and professors.
The academic year lasts ten month and begins in September.
During studies students attend lectures, seminars and practicals but during sessions all students have to pass several tests and exams.
