Today, the countries of Northeast Asia (hereinafter NEA) is one of the most dynamically developing regions of the world. NEA is part of the Asia-Pacific Region (APR), which includes South Korea and North Korea, Northeast China, Japan, the Far East of Russia, and Mongolia. At the moment, NEA GDP is about 20.6% of world GDP (50 years ago, this figure was only 4%).
In the last decade, there has been a noticeable increase in the scale and strengthening of economic cooperation between Russia and the countries of NEA. There is an annual increase in foreign trade turnover between the countries of Northeast Asia and Russia: over the past ten years, it has increased ninefold. The number of NEA countries involved in Russian foreign trade has also doubled.
Scientific and technical cooperation, foreign investment, international cooperation.
In this article, the problem of development of scientific and technical cooperation of Russia with the countries of Northeast Asia on the example of the Republic of Korea is considered. The successful experience of realizing the potential of cooperation is analyzed, which gives grounds to assert that, with due consideration, mutual interest and joint work lead to a positive result.
