John’s Working Day
On week-days the alarm-clock wakes John up and his working day begins. It is seven o’clock. He gets up quickly, does his bed and goes to the bathroom where he cleans his teeth and washes his face with cold water. Sometimes he takes a shower. Then he goes to the kitchen to have breakfast. He usually has eggs, bread, butter and tea for breakfast. During his breakfast John listens to the news over the radio.
John leaves the house at 7.50. He doesn't live far from the station and he likes to walk there in any weather. It takes him half an hour (30 minutes) to get to his office by train. His working day begins at 9 o’clock. He is never late for his work. At I p. m. he and his fellow-workers have lunch at the nearest cafe. He finishes his work at 6 p.m.
John is a busy man. He doesn't have much free time in the evening, because he is a student at the Evening Department of the University. He has classes four times a week, and or other days he goes to the University library to prepare his homework. It is not easy to work and study at the same time. That is why is often very tired when be comes home in the evening. Sometimes but not very often John’s friends come to his place and they listen to music and talk or go to the tennis court. His hobby is reading. He always reads something before going to bed.

В будние дни будильник будит Джона, и начинается его рабочий день. Семь часов утра. Он быстро встает, застилает постель и идет в ванную, где чистит зубы и умывает лицо холодной водой. Иногда он принимает душ. Затем он идет на кухню, чтобы позавтракать. Обычно на завтрак у него яйца, хлеб, масло и чай. За завтраком Джон слушает новости по радио.
Джон выходит из дома в 7.50. Он живет недалеко от станции и любит пройтись пешком в любую погоду. Ему нужно полчаса (30 минут), чтобы добраться на поезде до своего офиса. Его рабочий день начинается в 9 часов. Он никогда не опаздывает на работу. В час дня он и его коллеги обедают в ближайшем кафе. Он заканчивает свою работу в 6 часов вечера.
