When you travel you see and learn all sorts of things that you can never see and learn at home, though you may read about them in books and newspapers and see pictures of them at the cinema You discover new countries and towns, you meet new people and make new friends. If you wish you can take a camera with you and photograph anything that interests you.
There are different means of travel: by sea, by air, by road or just on foot. They have their own advantages and disadvantages.
The fastest and the most comfortable way of travelling is by air. It takes several hours to cross from one part of the country to another. There is no dust and dirt. But f lights are sometimes delayed because of bad weather or other reasons.
Travelling by train is slower than by plane but it has its advantages. You can enjoy the beauty of the countryside.
Travelling by sea is for those who are going on holiday and want a nice trip. On board of a large ship people get across oceans and visit other countries. The ship stops for a day or two in different ports and people go on the shore for excursions. The only drawback is seasickness.
Many people prefer travelling by car. This way you can explore towns and cities. The greatest advantage is that you can stop whenever you like and that you don't depend on any schedule. You start from the door of your house and take the road you like.
The cheapest and one of the most popular ways of travelling is hiking. It is always a great experience for a lover of nature. Walking through the wood or along the river, climbing a mountain, you feel yourself a part of nature.
All means of travel have their advantages and disadvantages. People choose one according to their plans and destination. When travelling we see and learn a lot of things that we can never see or learn at home.
