English is deservedly considered one of the richest and richest languages in the world. It is distinguished by many expressive means and lexical units that make speech multifaceted and rich. The basis of personal authoring style can be the choice of vocabulary, and not just stylistic techniques and grammatical constructions.
The differences between English in the United States of America have long attracted the attention of scholars, but nonetheless, there are no works in the linguistic literature devoted to a systematic comparison of American and British variants of English. Typically, in the works that deal with this topic, the distinctive features of the British and American variants are explored with other elements of the language structure rather than in the context of the language system.
This explains the scientific relevance of this topic. At the same time, it is also clear that a true picture of the existing connection between the two languages can be revealed not only by simply listing their distinctive features, but only by revealing the degree of significance of these differences, as well as the depth and scale of differences at all levels of the language structure. This can only be achieved if distinctive and common elements are explored as an integral part of a coherent language system. This issue has also been considered by such scientists as G. T. I. Arbekova, B. Antrushina, D. A. Schweitzer, D. E. Rosenthal.

1.1 Features of American English
American English is the most common linguistic variant of English. In the United States, as in other places of its spread, English appeared thanks to the British (mainly English) colonists in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Then, under the influence of various internal and external factors, a number of special features appeared at it at all levels of the language. In the United States themselves, 80% of the population consider American English to be their native language, with a number of peculiarities in the field of spelling grammar and vocabulary embedded in the media and the educational system. Despite this, it, like English in general, is not spelled out as the official language of the United States in the federal constitution, though it is actually one. In recent years, with the growth of the Hispanic population, the movement to give the English language state status has become more active, which has already been done in some states.
